General Moulding Notes |
- PES requires a fairly hot gate area - excessive gate cooling may cause gate freeze-off.
- Medium-to-large gate diameters are generally required to minimise gate shear.
- Gate vestige is usually neat, typical height 1/2 of gate diameter.
- Filled polymers may require special wear resistant tips - check with factory.
- Melt = 340 - 380oC, Mould = 120 - 160oC, Flow = Stiff, Residence time = short, sg = 1.37

- Find the bush size that most closely matches your required shot weight with your choice of tip and click on the shot weight to be taken to the technical data for that range.
- If approaching the maximum for a particular bush size, consider using the next larger size, especially if a long bush is required.
- Polymer grade, viscosity, fillers and part dimensions also affect the choice of bush. If in doubt - ask.
