General Moulding Notes

Pc/ABS requires a cool gate area - excessive gate heat may cause stringing and part surface distortion.
Medium-to-large gate diameters are generally suitable.
Gate vestige is usually neat, typical height 1/3 - 1/2 of gate diameter.
Filled polymers may require special wear resistant tips - check with factory.

Pin Gate Tips For Gating On Parts
PP	Pinpoint	Good	Gives minimal gate pip, no witness ring.
PX	Pinpoint Extended	No	Gate may freeze off.
PT	Pinpoint thru' flow	Good	No witness ring or flow lines, but gate pip height may increase.
EXT	Extended Hot Pinpoint	Poor	Gives minimal gate pip, no withess ring, high pressure drop.
RG	Ring Gate	Good	Leaves witness ring and may leave flow lines on part.
RT	Ring Gate thru' flow	Good	As above, but no flow lines. Gate pip height may increase.
CG	Collar Gate	Good	Gives minimal gate pip, no witness ring, but may leave flowlines on part.
CT	Collar gate thru' flow	Fair	Gives minimal gate pip, no witness ring. Gate pip height may increase.
Valve Gate Tips For Gating On Parts
VP	Valve pinpoint gate	Good	No witness ring on part.
VR	Valve ring gate	Good	Leaves witness ring on part.
VC	Valve collar gate	Good	No witness ring on part.
Special Gate Tips For Gating On Parts
MT	Multi-Tip	No	Not Recommended
TG	Tunnel Gate	No	Not Recommended

Find the bush size that most closely matches your required shot weight with your choice of tip and click on the shot weight to be taken to the technical data for that range.
If approaching the maximum for a particular bush size, consider using the next larger size, especially if a long bush is required.
Polymer grade, viscosity, fillers and part dimensions also affect the choice of bush. If in doubt - ask.
