Pressure Transducers

Melt Pressure Transducers & Transmitters from Fast Heat incorporate a liquid filled capillary design. This tried and proven design provides an electronic signal which is proportional to the measured pressure, and allows the transducer to operate at process temperatures up to 400^oC (750^oF). The electronics of each transducer are a Wheatstone Bridge-Bonded Strain Gauge design, insuring high accuracy, reliablity and repeatability.

The transducers are available in two distinct styles.

1. The CT Style Melt Pressure Transducer, is the classic Melt Pressure Transducer design comprising of a 150mm (6 inch) rigid stem, along with 450mm (18 inches) of flexible capillary, for optimal thermal isolation.
   
   
2. The RT Style Melt Pressure Transducer, has only a 150mm (6 inch) rigid stem.

Fast Heat Melt Pressure Transducers & Transmitters are available in two distinct accuracy grades.

1. General purpose grade units feature an accuracy (non-linearity) of better than 0.5% Full Scale Output (FSO).
   
   
2. Laboratory grade units feature an accuracy (non-linearity) of better than 0.25% FSO.

All transducers and transmitters are fully compatible with the industry standard wiring pattern and colour coding, as well as offering 100% mechanical compatibility with existing melt pressure transducers utilising the 6-pin bayonet connector.
